The National Recycling Coalition recognizes a need for coordinated recycling education and wishes to be of service to our State organizations, business members and caring citizens that follow us. To this end, the Board has identified the need to raise funds for a national social media campaign designed to improve recycling participation while also building confidence in the infrastructure that carries us towards a more circular economy.
With a goal of raising $25,000 by the end of this year and utilizing the spirit of giving that embodies our nation at this time of year, the campaign is centered on GIVING TUESDAY. This annual day, falling on December 2, 2025, has become a platform for a variety of non-profits to encourage those buying holiday gifts on 'Black Friday', 'Shop Local Saturday' and 'Cyber Monday', to pause the consumerism to give something for the betterment of the community.
This year, we ask that all our members, friends and anyone that recognizes the value of recycling properly, coupled with composting, donation and buying recycled content materials; to please be generous. Give to NRC's Giving Tuesday campaign to launch our first national social media educational campaign in 2026! (Those giving $100 or more will become members of NRC for all of 2026)
